Yesterday, Volkswagen announced a new upcoming model for the Golf SportWagen lineup. A value addition, the new SportWagen Limited Edition is positioned in the sweet spot between the S and SE models.
Loaded with standard popular equipment, the new SportWagen Limited Edition also features a suite of standard advanced driver assistance features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Monitor, and Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist). It also features exterior aesthetic enhancements like a panoramic sunroof, and 17-inch allow wheels. Inside are heated leatherette seats and Volkswagen's new MIB II infotainment with support for all three available connected car systems: Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink.
Under the hood is a 1.8-liter turbocharged, direct-injection four cylinder engine that delivers a robust 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. With a six-speed automatic transmission, it achieves an EPA-estimated highway rating of 35 mpg.
Set to go on sale towards the end of the month, the new Golf SportWagen Limited Edition will have a starting MSRP of $24,995.
