Hats off to our beloved German brand. It definitely delivered the goods with its standout midsize sedan, the new-and-improved 2016 VW Passat.

What are some of its choicest qualities? Well, fortunately for you, the fine folks at MotorWeek are here today to provide some insight. Hear what they have to say right here:

Unlike many other entry-level offerings, the Passat's base engine is exquisite. This turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder is coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox and together twist out a terrific 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. And if that doesn't get your emotional engine purring, perhaps this will: it takes only 7.7 seconds for this four-banger to do the 0-to-60 mph dash. VW most certainly did its homework for this one.

If you'd like to learn more about this fun four-door, or wish to get behind the wheel of one, we encourage you to drop by our Columbia, SC dealership. Our automotive experts are ready to answer your every question about the Passat, or any other VW model within the present portfolio.
